Patwah Media is a non-profit making initiative run by volunteers. Created in 2015 by Mycall Isrell and his long time associate, Boney. The aim to create a space for spoken word, Dub poetry, Storytelling and poetry in the Bradford.
Mycall Isrell – DJ, Poet, and Storyteller
Mycall Isrell’s creative journey began by spinning records at family parties, a passion that led to co-founding the sound system "Israelites" and later working as a solo DJ at venues across Bradford and beyond. In the 1990s, he played on pirate radio, launched his own station WKLR, and presented music-spoken word shows on Bradford Community Radio (BCB).
An accomplished poet and lyricist, Mycall has built a respected catalog of unpublished poems and spoken-word pieces, earning him recognition within his community. His love for storytelling inspired the creation of Patwah Media with his brethren, Boney, offering a platform for spoken word, dub poetry, and cultural expression.
